Sara Martin, MSW, LSW
Sara received a Masters of Social Work degree from Temple University and a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Millersville University. She is currently a third year doctoral student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Sara’s approach to counseling focuses on cognitive behavior therapy but also integrates family systems and psychodynamic theories. Believing that healing is a process of personal growth and spiritual development, Sara seeks to support clients by understanding their unique life stories and bolstering their inner resources to overcome life challenges.
Sara has a wealth of experience working with children and adolescents in various settings including schools, out-patient and treatment centers but enjoys individual counseling with adults as well. Areas of special interest and experience include difficulties with mood and anxiety, family discord, trauma recovery, parenting challenges, life adjustments, changing health related behaviors, grief and loss and spiritual concerns. Sara is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Psychological Association.
