Kim Florio, MSW, LCSW

 

Kim Florio holds an MSW from Marywood University and is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the state of Pennsylvania. She has pursued additional graduate level training in marriage and family therapies. She has a certificate in counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and is working on certification in Hope-Focused Marriage Counseling.

Kim’s empathic and practical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral, Emotion-Focused and Psychodynamic therapies. She has 20 years of experience and training in mental health, addictions counseling, group therapy, grief work and adjustment to loss and chronic illness.

Kim works with individuals, couples, children, and adolescents focusing on these concerns: Anxiety and depression, Identity and life integration, Marital communication, Healing from sexual abuse, Anger management, Life/career transitions, Parent/child and adolescent communication, Children’s anxiety and depression, school-related problems, Adolescent identity issues, Interpersonal relationships, Substance abuse, Spiritual struggles.
